I CAUTION!
Defective parts must be replaced immediately.
Work hygienically.
5.3 Hydraulic installation
I CAUTION!
Only hoses that comply with DVGW W 543 may be used to connect the device.
When installing accessories (hoses, connection sets), observe the installation dimensions and
bending radii.
■
The RO device is to be set up and operated with installed magnet plates.
■
The hoses of the device are to be connected free of tension.
■
The water connections must be connected in a watertight manner.
■
The concentrate line is to be routed to the on-site wastewater connection with an air gap in
accordance with EN 1717 and then connected there. The flexible hoses may not exhibit any
constriction in cross section. During installation, ensure that the concentrate and permeate
lines are correctly connected.
5
■
The concentrate restrictor supplied must be connected to the concentrate outlet. The hose is
then connected to the concentrate restrictor.
i NOTE!
Before using the RO unit, we recommend checking the water pre-treatment (e.g. in-house water
softening system, central water processing of waterworks). This measure is necessary to improve
the efficiency and service life of your RO membrane.
Please discard the permeate produced during the first 10 minutes after each new installation, ini-
tial commissioning, or membrane change.
Reduction of the temperature by 1 °C results in a reduction of the permeate output of the mem-
branes of approximately 3 percent.
Please also observe the provisions in the operating manual of the external pre-filter used.
As a general rule, we recommend using softened water to extend the service life and operational
safety of the reverse osmosis membrane.

Operating the reverse osmosis unit
6.1 Switching on the RO device
H DANGER!
Always disconnect the voltage supply of the unit by removing the plug during any maintenance
and electrical work.
i NOTE!
The socket outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
The device may only be operated with the supplied power cable.
■
The RO device must be connected to the hoses and the electrical socket.
■
Insert the mains plug (220 – 240 V / 50 – 60 Hz).
■
Open the tap for the feedwater supply.
■
To turn on the device use the main switch at the back of the unit. A green LED indicates that
the RO device is switched on (POWER ON).
6.2 Hygiene concept and stoppages
There are two hygiene concepts designed to ensure the maximum service life of the diaphragms.
