I CAUTION!
Observe all national directives for drinking water installations (e.g. DIN 1988, EN 1717), general
sanitary requirements and technical data for the protection of drinking water.
Improper installation of the RO device may cause damage to it.
The inflow water must not exceed the limit values given in the technical data nor the calcium sol-
ubility limit!
The water fed into the device must be cold water that conforms to the statutory drinking water
requirements and the quality requirements in Technical data [Chapter 2].
Install a stop valve upstream of the RO device.
Only hoses that comply with DVGW W 543 may be used to connect the device.
If the product has been stored below 0°C, leave the unpacked product in the ambient temper-
ature of the installation site for at least 24 hours before using it.
Do not install the filter system near heat sources and open flames.
The RO device may not come into contact with chemicals, solvents, or vapours.
The installation site must be free of frost and protected from direct sunlight.

The materials were selected in accordance with the requirements of DIN 18879-1 and EN 14898.
The pressure resistance of the RO device corresponds to DIN 18879-1.
The desalinated water (permeate) produced must not be used for drinking.
Avoid leaving the device in storage for a long time in order to reduce the risk of idle contamina-
tion.
If the feedwater is treated with oxidising disinfectants (such as chlorine, chlorine dioxide, or sim-
ilar), then an activated carbon filter must be installed upstream of the device. Further pre-treat-
ment may be necessary depending on the feedwater quality.
If the total hardness is more than 10°dH and/or the ratio of temporary hardness to total hardness
is more than 80%, a pre-treatment (e.g. softening system) is required to ensure the reliability and
performance of the product.
4.1 Responsibility of the operator

The installation and operating instructions must be kept in the immediate vicinity of the filter
system and be accessible at all times.
■
The filter system may only be operated in a technically perfect and operationally safe condi-
tion.
■
The information in the installation and operating instructions must be followed in full.
4.2 Warranty and exclusion of liability
The information and recommendations given as well as the local drinking water regulations and
disposal regulations applicable to the area of application must be observed. All information and
notes in this installation and operating manual account for the applicable standards and regula-
tions, state-of-the-art technology as well as our expertise in water treatment.
The RO device comes with a 2-year warranty.
