Use and function
3.1 Intended use
This RO device is a combination of reverse osmosis and a filter cartridge for desalination of the
permeate.
The device
■
May only be used for desalination of cold water that meets the legal requirements for drinking
water quality.
■
Produces desalinated water, which can be used as input water for autoclaves, steam sterilisa-
tion in laboratories and medicine and for electrolysers for hydrogen production
■
Filters particles and dissolved salts from the water
Any other use is considered improper.
i NOTE!
The device is not suitable for continuous operation. There is a risk that the pump will overheat if
the operating time is too long.

Design and function of the ROC Clinic One
Design and function of the ROC Clinic One
The RO device generates permeate which is desalinated in a second step with a mixed-bed ion
exchanger. A simplified flow chart of the RO device is shown on the cover.
The water passes through the following stages:
1
Pump: Water is pumped into the RO filter cartridge at constant pressure.
2
Desalination The water flows through the RO membrane
3
Permeate return: Permeate is recirculated until the conductivity is below an adjustable set
value.
4
Ion exchanger: Demineralisation is carried out by the mixed-bed ion exchanger
5
System separator in accordance with DIN 1717 cat. 5
6
Transfer pump

Operating and safety instructions
Despite all safety precautions, residual risks remain with every product, especially if it is handled
improperly. Every piece of technical equipment requires regular maintenance and repairs in order
to function properly.
A basic precondition for safe working is the adherence to all stated safety and operating instruc-
tions. In addition, the local accident prevention provisions and the general safety provisions ef-
fective at the place of operation are applicable. The illustrations in these instructions are inten-
ded to provide a basic understanding and may deviate from the actual design of the device.
Claims cannot be made based on this.
I WARNING!
The RO device may not be operated with feedwater that is microbially contaminated or whose
origin or quality is unknown.
Any deviation from proper use, such as desalination of feedwater of impermissible quality (non-
drinking water), may result in irreversible damage to health or property (via microbial contamination of the RO
device, for example).
Disconnect the RO device from the water supply prior to maintenance work on the drinking wa-
ter supply. Flush the water line before reconnecting the RO device.
Before installation, disconnect the device and any terminal devices from the power (pull the
mains plug).
Injury risk through incorrect lifting and carrying of the device! Observe the following points in or-
der to avoid injuries or damages to the device:
