User and profile management is provided for managing user accounts and
configuring rights for profiles/user roles.

User and profile management is only available if the logged-in user has ad-
ministration rights.
System administrators can use profile and user management to specify the
settings and functions that a user can access. To do this, administrators assign
user roles to the user.
Please note
The current user cannot access any menu items or functions that they are not
authorised to use.
3.1 Profile management

Out of the box, the Water Management Server is configured with various fac-
tory-set user roles (Cleaning Personnel, Janitor, Installer, Administrator and
SCHELL Employee).
These profiles represent the tasks that are usually carried out by the corre-
sponding user group. However, you can tailor the profiles to your individual
requirements.
Notice
Take especial care when changing the administrator password.
> We recommend creating a 2nd administrator account with
the new password required. Once the new account is working
without any problems, the old account with the old password can
then be deleted.
