Configuring the Water Management Server

System functions

2
The following sections summarise the configuration of the Water Manage-
ment System, giving you an overview of the procedures and the parameters
that can be adjusted to complete the configuration.
Check through the following points to ensure the Water Management Server
is optimally configured for your drinking water installation. Set the appropri-
ate parameters to meet the requirements of your facility.
Advice on setting the parameters correctly can also be found in the descrip-
tion of the system functions given below.
The facility-specific parametrisation of the Water Management Server is vital
to ensure proper drinking water hygiene.
2.1 System functions
SWS is an intelligent water management system that has been specially devel-
oped for sanitary facilities on public, semi-public and business premises. The
system permits the networking, control and monitoring of all SWS fittings –
from wash basin and kitchen taps to shower, WC or urinal fittings – via the
central Water Management Server. The system also manages all functions, from
flush times to stagnation flushes and thermal disinfections
The following sections cover the most important system functions. The advice
given in the following sections provides you with support for the configura-
tion and correct use of your Water Management System.
2.1.1
The SWS Water Management System not only offers you central control of
stagnation flushes for all of the networked taps and fittings, but also includes
a set of intelligent, software-based configuration options. These options ena-
ble perfect fulfilment of stringent hygiene standards as well as water conser-
vation requirements. For stagnation flushes, two separate options are availa-
ble: temperature-based triggering and time-controlled triggering.
2.1.2
You have central control of thermal disinfection for all networked fittings in
your sanitary facilities with a simple, time-saving system. And a system that
now, for the first time, takes the capacity utilisation of the hot water tank into
account. This is possible thanks to the SWS section-based thermal disinfec-
tion.
The advantage here is that hot water can be reheated to the right temperature
in the interim. In addition, the temperature can be monitored with a thermal
sensor. Flushing starts when the set target temperature is reached.
The TD is secured by a key switch or password to provide an adequate level
of safety.
2.1.3
SWS offers the option of deactivating fittings in a specific sanitary facility for
cleaning purposes. The cleaning stop can be triggered via one of the digi-
