1.14.1 Basic principles of the SWS network

Knowledge of the following details is important for understanding the proce-
dures for commissioning the SWS network. Especially when the network is to
be set up using SWS BE-F and/or BE-F Flow wireless bus extenders.
Commissioning network
To create the commissioning network, all SWS bus extenders (fittings) are
loaded and available devices are searched for. This is important for the SWS
BE-F/BE-F Flow wireless bus extenders, to ensure an unambiguous assign-
ment between the Water Management Server and the SWS BE-F/BE-F Flow
wireless bus extenders.
The SWS BE-K/BE-K Flow wired bus extenders are also listed in the commis-
sioning network, but their assignment is unambiguous as a result of the wired
connection and cannot be changed.
The commissioning network's device list is now used to select the SWS BE-F/
BE-F Flow wireless bus extenders that are to be assigned to the server. Saving
this selection creates the "production network".
Production network
The SWS bus extenders (fittings) in the production network are permanently
assigned to the respective Water Management Server. With SWS BE-K/BE-K
Flow wired bus extenders, this is predefined by the wired connection itself.
With the SWS BE-F/BE-F Flow wireless bus extenders, this assignment means
that no other Water Management Server can now access these devices.
Consequently, this means that an SWS BE-F/BE-F Flow wireless bus extender
cannot simply be moved from one network to another — with a different Wa-
ter Management Server — without first removing this assignment.

1.14.2 Starting commissioning

up" menu item.
