Settings
The ADW 511A can be set using a rotary switch to fulfill the trigger properties required by EN
54-5:2000.
Posi-
Rotary switch positions 8 and 9 may only be used after consulting the manufacturer.

The permitted values are not tested in line with EN. When the system is operated in posi-
tions 8 and 9, it must be ensured that the thermal impact on the sensor tube in the event
of fire is not restricted (e.g. by constructional equipment, room partitions etc.)
Rotary switch positions 8 and 9:
Positions "8" and "9" are assigned basic default settings. They can be freely programmed
retroactively (system-specific configuration via PC).
NOTICE!
If the factory settings for positions "8" and "9" have been changed during system-specific
reprogramming, they can only be reset via a PC.

The"high sensitivity" level (positions 2 and 3) is used in environments where very
low temperature fluctuations are expected (no disturbance variables), for exam-
ple in enclosed underground garages or in the chemicals industry.
A "normal (medium)" sensitivity level should be selected for environments where
occasional temperature fluctuations are expected; e.g. inside road tunnels with
low traffic volume or in open underground garages (position 1); object protection
with higher ambient temperatures (position 5, 6 or 7).
The "low-sensitivity" level (positions 4, 8 or 9) should be selected for environ-
ments where increased temperature fluctuations are expected, e.g. at road tunnel
portals, in road tunnels with high traffic volumes, railroad tunnels or for object
protection in heavy industry .
