Once the sensor tube has been blown out and there are no indications of a leak, connect the
sensor tube system to the SENSTUBE screw joint on the detector box.
The REFERENCE screw joint is only used for automatic pressure sensor adjustment to prevail-
ing local conditions on initial setup (see page 51).

Detector box
Fit the Serto end screw cap to the end of the sensor tube and tighten.
Fully open the main valve (2) on the nitrogen bottle (1).
Check whether the primary manometer (3) shows pressure.
Open the adjusting valve (6) until the secondary manometer (4) shows a pressure read-
ing of 1 bar (100 kPa).
Open the stop valve (5) and wait until the secondary manometer (4) shows a pressure
reading of 1 bar (100 kPa) and the needle has come to rest.
Close the adjustment valve (6) and observe the secondary manometer (4) for one minute
to see if the pressure drops.
NOTE: A fall in pressure can indicate a leak in the pipe system.
Document the test as evidence.
