Blowing out and checking the sensor tube for leaks

Once the sensor tube has been installed and before the Serto end screw cap is fitted to the
tube end, blow out the entire pipe system with nitrogen (approx. 30 secs. at 1 bar) to remove
all traces of moisture from the system.
To do this, attach a bottle of nitrogen to the end of the sensor tube that will later be con-
nected to the detector box.
Fit the Serto end screw cap immediately after blowing out the tube; then check the pipe sys-
tem for leaks (60 secs. at 1 bar).
This step is also performed using the nitrogen bottle, which is still connected.
NOTICE!
i
Under no circumstances must the detector box be connected to the system during blow-out
and leakage test.
