3.3 Stop-Start-Broadcast (DM13) – PGN 0x00DF00
Using the Stop-Start-Broadcast (DM13) message cyclical
sending of the measurement data output (see section 3.1
on page 11) can be temporarily turned off.
The BMD SAE J1939 responds to commands on the
Current Data Link or the SAE J1939 Network #1,Primary
vehicle network.

If a Stop-Broadcast command is sent on the Current Data
Link or the J1939 Network #1,Primary vehicle network,
transmission of the measurement data output (see
section 3.1 on page 11) is stopped for 6 s. After 6 s
have expired it is send again cyclically.
To resend it after a shorter time, a Start-Broadcast
command can be sent on the Current Data Link or the
J1939 Network #1,Primary vehicle network.
To interrupt cyclical sending for longer than 6 seconds, a
Hold command must be send to the BMD SAE J1939.
If different commands are sent on the Current
Data Link or the J1939 Network #1,Primary
vehicle network , the Stop command has higher
priority than the Start command and the Start
command higher priority than the Hold
command.
