Bus termination – PGN 0x00B400
Configuration of the bus termination is done using the
PGN 0x00B400 (46080
). This can apply a 120-Ω resistor

inside the BMD SAE J1939 for terminating the SAE J1939
network (default: bus termination off). After a change the
value is immediately applied and an ACK (see section 2.4
on page 9) is sent.
If there is a faulty configuration of the bus
termination, communication with all bus slaves
in the SAE J1939 network may not be possible.
The value is not written to non-volatile memory until after a
save command using PGN 0x00B500 (46336
section 5.5 on page 20).

Memory management – PGN 0x00B500
Memory management of the BMD SAE J1939 is done
using the PGN 0x00B500 (46336
functions are possible:
Software reset
BMD SAE J1939 is restarted. Unsaved changes may
be lost.
Saving the configuration
Current configuration is saved in non-volatile memory.
Previous configuration is overwritten. After successful
saving an ACK (see section 2.4 on page 9) is sent.
Loading the factory configuration
Loads the factory default configuration into non-volatile
memory. This is not sent to the non-volatile memory
until saved. After successful loading an ACK (see
section 2.4 on page 9) is sent.
