Disposal

Dispose of packaging material in an environmentally
friendly way and in accordance with the applicable
local disposal regulations.
The symbol with the crossed-out waste bin on
waste electrical or electronic equipment stipulates
that this equipment must not be disposed of with the
household waste at the end of its life. The separate
collection of waste electrical and electronic equip-
ment aims to enable the re-use, recycling and other
forms of recovery of waste equipment as well as to
prevent negative effects for the environment and hu-
man health caused by the disposal of hazardous sub-
stances potentially contained in the equipment.
You will find collection points for free return of waste
electrical and electronic equipment in your vicinity.
The addresses can be obtained from your municipal-
ity or local administration.
UK (The following applies for the United
Kingdom)
According to Waste Electrical and Electronic Equip-
ment Regulations 2013 (SI 2013/3113) (as amended)
devices that are no longer usable must be collected
separately and disposed of in an environmentally
friendly manner.

Warranty terms

5 resp. 10-year manufacturer's guarantee on
sectional doors
In addition to the warranty based on our conditions of
sale and delivery, we guarantee the aforementioned
sectional doors for 10 years subject to max.
50,000 cycles of operation.
We grant a manufacturer's guarantee of 5 years on
wearing parts, such as locks, hinges, springs, bear-
ings, rails, rope pulls and associated ropes subject to
normal load exposure or max. 25,000 cycles of oper-
ation.
We grant a manufacturer's guarantee of 10  years
against the sections rusting from the inside out, on
the separation of steel from foam, and on floor, inter-
mediate, side and header seals.
For doors with tension springs, the multiple spring as-
semblies and double wire ropes must be replaced
after approx.  25,000 cycles (see installation instruc-
tions). For doors with torsion spring shafts, the torsion
spring shaft must be completely replaced (see as-
sembly instructions).
Should this door lock or parts of it prove to be of no
use or limited use as a result of proven material or
manufacturing defects, we shall rectify this, at our dis-
cretion, through free-of-charge repair or replacement.
No liability is accepted for damages caused by faulty
or improper installation, commissioning or operation,
failure to perform the specified maintenance, expos-
These assembly, operation and maintenance instructions must be kept for the entire period of use!
ure to undue loads or any unauthorised changes to
the construction of the door. When adding to or modi-
fying the doors or when replacing parts in the course
of maintenance or repair works, only original spare
parts must be used. The same shall also apply for
damage incurred during transportation or as a result
of force majeure, external influences or natural wear
as well as special atmospheric influences.
The warranty also lapses in the event of failure to ob-
serve our installation and operating instructions.
No liability is accepted if unauthorised changes or re-
pair work are carried out on functional parts or if addi-
tional filling weight is added which can no longer be
compensated by the prescribed torsion springs.
The surface warranty for all door leaves with final
coating in original colour that are installed in Ger-
many extends to the adhesion of the colour and/ or
foil, corrosion protection and fade resistance. Slight
changes in colour that can occur over time are ex-
cluded from the warranty. Doors and door surfaces in
coastal areas are subject to aggressive climate influ-
ences and require appropriate additional protection.
Any defects arising as a result of damage to the
product, such as abrasion, mechanical or wilful dam-
age, soiling and improper cleaning, are excluded from
this warranty.
For base coated doors, the top coat must be applied
on site within three months from the date of delivery.
Small surface defects, minor corrosion, dust inclu-
sions or scratches on the surface of base coated
doors do not constitute grounds for complaint since
they will disappear after sanding the surface and after
a final treatment has been performed.
Exposure to direct sunlight may cause doors with a
width of about 3 metres or more or with a dark paint
or foil surface to bend, and functionality may be im-
paired.
Our products are subject to technical alterations in
the course of product modifications, changes in col-
ours or materials, or changes in production pro-
cesses, which may alter their appearance. Such alter-
ations are deemed conditionally acceptable when re-
placing parts under warranty.
We must be notified of any defects immediately in
writing; on request, the parts in question are to be
made available to us. We shall not bear the costs for
dismantling and installation, freight, and carriage. In
the event that a complaint ultimately proves to be un-
justified, we reserve the right to charge the costs in-
curred.
This guarantee is only valid in conjunction with the
signed invoice and commences on the day of deliv-
ery.
