wand tip is completely clear. An even partly blocked steam wand may affect
the ability of the steam wand to produce a satisfactory amount of froth.
Prior to texturing milk, we recommend to purge the steam wand by shortly ope-
rating the steam function to make the steam flow for 1-2 seconds.
Always start with fresh, cold milk. Fat-reduced milk will give the best results.
However, different brands and types of milk and milk alternatives will texture dif-
ferently. Additionally, the freshness of the milk will have high influence. You may
need to adjust the procedure accordingly. You may use the steam function with
or without stainless steel sleeve. Just give it a try. To remove the stainless steel
sleeve, hold the steam wand by the handle and turn the stainless steel sleeve
to and fro while pulling it downwards. To re-assemble the stainless steel sleeve,
simply push the stainless steel sleeve back onto the steam wand until there is no
gap left between the stainless steel sleeve and the steam wand handle.
You should consume textured milk immediately as the froth will collapse after a
while.
When not in use, the steam wand may be left immersed in a high vessel filled
with clear water to reduce the risk of blockages.
