Possible causes

The battery is completely empty (all LEDs
are OFF).
•
The cables are damaged or not connected
correctly.
•
Non-original cables are used.
•
If all else fails.

Connect the device to the charger and
charge the device.
Ensure that original cables have been
used.
Ensure that the cables are undamaged
and connected correctly.
Perform closed-loop to test to check
functionality of cables and device test to
check functionality of device.
If in combined mode, ensure that the

original X-Smart IQ
being used.
If in combined mode, ensure that the
endodontic file has been correctly inserted
®
into the X-Smart IQ
Clean the lip clip and the file clip according
to the procedure.
Perform a factory reset.
If cables are damaged or if the
Closed-Loop test fails after a
second attempt, DO NOT USE
®
Propex IQ
Apex Locator with the
damaged cables and contact your
Dentsply Sirona Endodontics
Customer Service.
If requested to send the device and/or
components to Dentsply Sirona
Endodontics Customer Service, reprocess
the device, file clip, lip clip and cables
before sending them back to customer
services (Refer to Section
Disinfection and
Sterilization).
