Closing the setting up of
a radio group
The setting up of a radio group is nor-
mally automatically closed 10 minutes af-
ter the activation of the connection mo-
de for the smoke alarm device with radio
link planned last for the radio group so
that the radio group is activated when
none of the devices gives out any signal
through the radio LED.
If all smoke alarm devices with radio
links planned for making a radio group
have been connected to a radio group
as described above, the connection mo-
de can be alternatively ended directly by
pressing the radio button (Illus. 6 point
a) of any smoke alarm device with radio
link in the radio group for a short time.
The radio LEDs of all smoke alarm de-
vices with radio links switch off. The ra-
dio group is now activated.

Functions test of the
radio group
The correct connection of the radio
group can be easily controlled with the
test/stop button (Illus. 1 point d) of a
smoke alarm device with radio link. A
short confirmation of the test/stop but-
ton (Illus. 1 point d) for 2-3 seconds will
initiate a self-test of the individual device.
A short signal will be given out now.
A longer pressure on the test/stop but-
ton (Illus. 1 point d) until the second si-
gnal will initiate self test via radio in all
other smoke alarm devices with radio
links in the radio group. This test needs
to be repeated every 3-6 months in or-
der to test the radio group's functioning.
Repeating connection
attempt
If the attempt to connect a smoke alarm
device with radio link is not successful,
you can make the attempt again:
1. Deactivate the smoke alarm device
with radio link completely by pulling out
the red activation button (Illus. 1 point a)
to the initial position (OFF). Then keep
the test/stop button (Illus. 1 point d)
pressed for 2-3 seconds.
2. Then press the red activation button
(Illus. 1 point a) again as you did while
activating the device the first time (ON).
The radio commissioning will restart.
Expanding radio group/
switching on connection
mode again
If a time span of about 10 minutes has
elapsed while setting up a radio group
during which the smoke alarm device
with radio link of a radio group is in
connection mode, the devices must be
reset into connection mode again if you
wish to add more smoke alarm devices
with radio links to the radio group.
1. In order to add one or more other
smoke alarm devices with radio links in
delivery condition to an existing radio
group that is no longer in the connec-
tion mode (displayed through a regular,
long yellow interval of radio LED), take
any smoke alarm device with radio link
from the existing radio group and keep
the radio button (Illus. 6 point a) using
the long, thin pin side of the activation
fuse (Illus. 5) press and hold the button
as long as the yellow LED is visible. Let
