I)
Material to be attached (magnetic holder,
self-adhering on the back side) confor-
ming to EN 14604: 2005/AC: 2008
Attention:
If only this self-adhesive fastener is used,
it installs the device in a very maintenan-
ce-friendly and secure magnetic connec-
tion with the installation base, thus enab-
ling the device to be removed by gently
pulling out the magnetic holder vertically
(for inspection, maintenance, cleaning).
Use only the provided adhesive for sti-
cking the device. The place of installation
must be firm, dry and free of grease, dust
and loose sections etc.
As shown in Illus. 2, remove the informa-
tion sticker and then the protective film
on the adhesive stuck on the magnet and
press the correct surface of the magnetic
en
holder for about 10 seconds on the pla-
ce of installation. You can then position
the device on the magnetic holder (Illus.
1 point b). If required, the device can be
gently pulled up vertically to remove it
from the magnetic holder.
The device will finally adhere after about
72 hours.
II)
Additional (optional) fastening mate-
rial (thin, double-sided sticking film)
according to vfdb 14/01 (Q) and EN
14604:2005/AC:2008.
Attention:
Using this additional material will give
you very firm adhesion and therefo-
re a long-term fixture of the device to
the fastener mentioned in I) (magnetic
holder covered on the backside with
self-adhering tape) and will then be atta-
ched to the installation base.
If this additional fastener is used, it will
not be possible to remove the device by
pulling it out vertically from the self-ad-
hesive magnetic holder (I) making it re-
markably difficult to remove it (protec-
tion from theft).
Use this material in addition to the ma-
terial described in (I) only if you are ab-
solutely sure that the device has to be
installed long-term and removal from
the magnetic holder described in I) is not
required, thus giving the device the best
possible protection from unauthorised
removal (e.g. theft).
Please note that to remove the device atta-
ched this way with the additional fastening
material will require considerable effort!
Disassembly of the device will be time-consu-
ming and can also lead to damages to the
device and the installation base, for which we
will not assume any responsibility.
Important note:
If you are planning to attach the smoke
alarm device with radio link with this ad-
ditional material, never use this material
before setting up the radio group descri-
bed below, since otherwise problem-free
commissioning of the smoke alarm de-
vice with radio link and setting up of a
radio group will be considerably difficult
and may even become impossible!

a) Remove the first safety film from the
provided double-sided adhesive tape and
press it firmly, smoothly and snugly on
the entire metallic surface of the smoke
alarm device with radio link.
