Assembling the camera:
For the assembling of the camera to the pan/tilt unit, first the fixing
bracket has to be attached to the axis of the pan/tilt unit with the help
of four short nylon screws M4 and four nylon washers (put between
fixing bracket and axis). The marking on the axis (dent) should point
to the bottom of the fixing bracket/camera.
Then, the camera can be attached to the fixing bracket with two
screws M2.5x6 (see fig. 2). The back of the camera should be on
that side of the pan/tilt unit with the connector named "camera" (see
fig. 1).
The whole device has to be attached to an insulating carrier with the
help of four nylon screws M4 (the long screws can be shortened
easily with a hacksaw or a sharp knife). If only an electrically
conducting carrier is present, insulating washers have to be put
between axis and carrier as well. Alternatively, the device can be
screwed onto a wooden tripod. For this purpose, a tripod socket is
located at the bottom of the rotation axis. Please ensure that the
tripod is stable since the camera is moving and thereby the center of
gravity is shifting!
By electrical connections at the fastening points, ground loops can
develop with the connection cable via the power supply unit which
can lead to interferences and failures. Therefore, please pay
attention to an according insulation.
Setting the end switches:
The pan/tilt unit has two end switches for each axis. These switches
mainly serve the purpose of protecting the connection cables. When
assembling the device, please make sure that the preset rotation
