II Transceiver AV-TRX
The transceiver has an internal microphone ((1) in fig. 1) with
adjustable volume ((2), not in all versions). An external microphone
can be connected to the connector (3). In this case the internal
microphone is switched off. The microphone is supplied by the 2-
wire connector (see fig. 2 for details). The microphone is switched on
permanently in the upper position of switch (4) and switched off in
the middle position. For use as a intercom system the microphone
can be turned on during speaking by pressing down the switch (4).
The loudspeaker is turned off during speaking. Switch (5) toggles
between microphone and line IN. The rotary knob (6) is used for the
volume control of the speaker. The additional 3-terminal video IN-
connector for the AV-Cm camera (7) can be found on the front-side
as well (see fig. 2 for pin-out).

At the backside of the transceiver there are line IN- (8) and line OUT-
connectors (9).
Connector (10) can be used for an additional loudspeaker (right
channel). Figure 2 shows the pin configuration of the connector.
The FSMA-connectors (11) are used for the duplex optical cables.
Do not mix up IN and OUT when connecting transceivers!
The power switch (12) with the power-LED and the charging-
connector with the charging-LED (13) or the DC-input are located at
the backside as well. The charging-LED lights up if the battery-
voltage falls below 5.5 V. Please recharge the batteries in this case.
The transceiver is switched off if the voltage falls below 4.5 V. If the
batteries are over-discharged, neither the charging-LED (13) nor the
control-LED (12) is burning !
Transceivers without internal batteries have a DC-input instead of
the charging connector. A DC-supply with 6..9 V and 300 mA must
be connected there. There is no charging-LED then.
