VII Pan/tilt unit
There are special manuals for the pan/tilt and the telemetry unit
(provided by external companies) which include instructions for the
connection of the cables and the settings of the properties of the
data transmission. The pan/tilt unit made by mk-messtechnik is
described in the following. An installation guide also can be found
here.
Assembly instructions for mk-messtechnik pan/tilt unit
PT-02
The assembling of the system is described in the following chapter –
the electric wiring for controlling the functions is described in the
following paragraph.
Electric wiring:
The pan/tilt unit PT-02 ((1) in fig. 1) is provided with a connection
cable (2) which has to be attached to the camera AV-Cr (3). The
cable is reverse polarity protected and symmetrical – it therefore
does not matter which ending is connected to the camera.
The camera and the pan/tilt unit are supplied by the DC-input of the
camera, which is connected to the provided power supply unit PS-
12E (4) or the normal battery pack shipped with the camera. Please
use the accompanying cable (5) in order to avoid any problems. The
power supply unit can be plugged into a standard earthed wall
socket.
For the transmission of signals the camera has to be connected to
the receiver with a duplex optical cable (6). If there is no AV-signal
present and no communication possible, IN and OUT may be
reversed on one side.
