AV-Rxx
Several external remote controls can be connected to the device
simultaneously. The device features a RS-485-interface that allows
several hundreds of meters of cable-length when the wiring is
accordingly. Considering the structure of the wiring and the
electromagnetic surroundings this length can be much lower! The
control-panels at both ends of the developing cord of cables must be
equipped with a terminator of 100 .
Another notice to this kind of receiver:
Depending on the ordered version some elements are not included
in your system or are included to a different amount.
Depending on the number of integrated optical channels, 8-16
electrical in- and outputs are available for the connection of monitors
or video-recorders. As an option, on-screen display (OSD) of text on
up to 8 output channels can be used.
The internal loudspeakers of the receiver are correspondent to
output 13 of the system.
Operation of the AV-Rxx
The AV-Rxx is available in many different versions. All functions of
the camera and the movements of the pan/tilt unit (if present) can be
set via remote control. In order to do this, the cameras have to be
equipped accordingly and have to be connected via duplex optical
cables.
For the setting of the camera or a pan/tilt unit the requested channel
is first chosen by a pushbutton (5) and then set by the buttons (6) or
(7). At the right top corner in the picture of the camera the channel
number to which the camera and the attached pan/tilt unit react to
can be seen.
The switching of the audio- and video-channels is achieved by the
integrated AV-matrix. For this, the desired output channel (monitor or
recorder) is first chosen with the turn-switch (3). Then, the video-
channel (input) which should be put onto the selected output channel
can be chosen by the buttons on the left. The buttons on the right
are provided for the selection of the audio-channel (input). If the turn
switch is pushed (pushbutton function) the audio- and video-channel
are coupled. The selection of the input channel is then
simultaneously chosen for the audio- and the video signal. If this
button is pushed again, the coupling is detached.
The settings are kept even when the device is turned off.
