2.13.2 Initial starting up
CAUTION!
A complete acceptance record must be kept during commissioning of the
system.
A water pressure test is carried out to check function and check for leaks.
Do not configure or operate the system with the actual metering medium
(chemicals) or additive until these checks have been successfully
completed. Always make sure a suitable water connection is ready on-site.
Make sure to have the specified metering media (chemicals) ready for use
on-site in order to configure the system correctly. Any chemicals to be used
must be properly labeled.
The use of metering media (chemicals) and additives not complying with
the specifications of the system and its component is not permitted.
Make sure your utilized metering medium (chemicals), if not compatible
with water, does not come in contact with any water residue possibly
remaining in the system after the previous water pressure test. In this case,
we recommend flushing the system carefully with compressed air.
Check whether metering medium (chemicals) is contained in the collection
or drip pan. Comply with accident prevention rules and regulations while
carrying out this check. Any found metering medium (chemicals) must be
disposed of properly. We recommend the use of leak systems to prevent
overfilling, etc.
All of the set/configurable system components must be marked (position) or
possibly sealed after the commissioning process to avoid accidentally
modifying them.
All screw connections and screws of the hydraulic components (e.g.
pumps, hoses and pipe connections) must be checked for proper and tight
fit and retightened as needed after 24 hours.
Consult the respective manuals of the corresponding system or machine
components for details.
Any work performed during operation of the system must be carried out by
authorized and trained service technicians and in accordance with local
rules and regulations.
All of the pipes, metering lines, as well as the connections and screw-type
connectors must be subjected to a visual inspection at regular intervals to
detect and eliminate leaks early on.

We recommend using a leakage detection system to avoid overfilling.
Should downtimes of individual system components be shortened due to
changed ambient conditions, the corresponding measures (additional
safeguards, shortening of waiting intervals) must be implemented.
Comply with all waiting times and intervals and regularly conduct a visual
inspection of your system to ensure trouble-free operation of all
components.
We recommend keeping a maintenance book.
If your system is equipped with flushing line connections, make sure that
these are closed off with a blind plug or cover during operation.
