2.1 Agreement with ambient conditions
CAUTION!
Please note the information on the ambient conditions. Ensure that all
relevant and prescribed safety devices and safety measures are in place
and have been implemented or are accessible and intact once the system
components have been installed. The metering station is not permitted to
be exposed to direct sunlight or used outdoors!
2.2 Handling chemical metering media
CAUTION!
Always wear suitable protective clothing when handling metered media
(chemicals) or additives. Please consult the safety datasheet / product
datasheet of the metered media (chemicals) for additional information.
Always comply with all safety notes and instructions pertaining to the
handling of chemicals and make available the specified emergency
measures or equipment (e.g. eye bath/showers, etc)!
Compliance with the information supplied by the corresponding safety
datasheet / product datasheet and all applicable statutory rules and
regulations when handling or using hazardous or aggressive chemicals!
Compliance with the information supplied by additionally applicable
standards and rules (e.g. water contamination or resources laws) is
mandatory as well.
Never fill and/or operate the metering station with unsuitable additives or
media (see system configuration when ordering).
The media to be metered must not be different than the one specified for
the system to exclude risk to the system and the operating personnel.
We recommend using a safety cover such as offered by our product
program.
Filling, topping off, and refilling of the metering system must be carried out
by authorized and trained service technicians in compliance with local rules
and regulations.
Observe instructions of the professional association of Chemistry (TRGS).
We recommend the use of leak systems to prevent overfilling, etc.
If metering media (chemicals) should leak from the system in spite of all
precautionary measures/safety equipment, please consult the safety
datasheet of your metering media for the proper cleanup and disposal
procedures.
2.3 Personal safety equipment (PPE)
DANGER!
Personal protective equipment, hereinafter referred to as PPE, is used to
protect personnel. It is imperative to pay attention to the PPE described in
the product data sheet (safety data sheet) for the metered medium.
