5.2.6.1 Fill level monitoring with suction lance
If you use a suction lance in your supply tank, you can automatically monitor the fill level.
The suction lance in the supply tank measures the fill level and sends the following signals
to the main control:
n Pre-warning signal when the fill level reaches the defined pre-warning level.
As there is still enough medium available in the supply tank, the metering station can
continue to work reliably.
– The main control sends an alarm.
– To prevent an empty signal, quickly replace the almost empty supply tank with a full
supply tank.
n Empty signal when the fill level reaches the defined empty signal level.
As there is too little medium available in the supply tank, the metering station cannot
continue to work reliably.
– The main control sends an alarm.
– To prevent dry running, the metering station shuts down.
– Replace the empty supply tank with a full supply tank, fully immerse the suction
lance in the medium and start up the metering station again.
n Ready signal when you fully immerse the suction lance of the supply tank into the
medium.
5.2.6.1.1 Level monitoring with EcoAdd pump
If you are using an EcoAdd pump and the pump is connected to the suction lance, the
pump will also receive level signals. If the pump receives a fill level signal, an alarm will
appear on the pump display: Level pre-warning or empty message.
5.2.6.1.2 Fill level monitoring with OEM connection box
If you are using an OEM type connection box, the fill level signals and alarms will flow via
the connection box. For the main control to receive signals and send alarms, the plug-in
connection of the suction lance must be screwed directly onto the connection box. When
the main control sends an alarm, it activates the yellow warning light on the connection
box as follows:
n When the defined pre-warning level has been reached, the yellow warning light
flashes.
n When the empty signal level is reached, the yellow warning light is lit continuously.
5.2.6.2 Fill level monitoring with automatic tank changeover
This function applies to changeover valves without pilot valves & DLC 115V and for
changeover valves without pilot valves & DLC 230V. This is indicated on the type plate on
feature "21" or "22".
Level monitoring with automatic container changeover permits uninterrupted operation of
the metering station and requires the following:
They use two supply tanks, in each of which a suction lance is located.
n
n Both suction lances are connected via suction hoses to the suction-side hose
connection of the metering station.
