5. Checklist

As proof of the correct installation of a combi steamer and the subsequent customer briefing we
recommend that you fill out the checklist and have it copied and documented.

Installation
Is the combi steamer installed level, stable and slip-proof? Are the safety distances 50 mm
left, right, behind and above and heat source 500 mm complied with?
The unit is not installed in the immediate vicinity of a deep fat fryer or fat cooking unit (cooking
unit with open, hot fat)?
Connecting to the electrical supply
Has the customer provided an accessible main switch near the unit?
Disconnect power for cleaning, repair or installation work.
Is the unit included in a potential equalisation system?
Is the unit fused in accordance with the appropriate wiring regulations in force with a residual
current circuit breaker with a suitable rated current specification?
Is just the combi steamer fused, i.e. are no additional consumers fused together with the
combi steamer?
Water connection / Drainage:
Is the unit connected to cold soft water in drinking water quality?
Is the flow pressure / water pressure between 200 kPa (2 bar) and 600 kPa (6 bar)?
Does the customer-supplied water outlet have an inside diameter of 36 mm? Is the outlet kink-
free?
Is a gradient of at least 5% or 3° maintained?

Was the operator manual handed over to the operator and was his/her attention drawn to the
following capital?
Safety instructions, what if ......, daily maintenance and care
The unit was installed in accordance with the installation
manual and the appropriate country-specific standards and
regulations.
