• Be sure to operate the multiplexer according to the power requirements
outlined under "Specifications" on page 68 (GB).
• Do not drop or place heavy objects on the power cord. If the power cord
is damaged, turn off the power immediately. It is dangerous to use the
unit with a damaged power cord.
• Disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet by pulling the plug, never
by pulling the cord itself.
Be careful not to spill water or other liquids on the unit or allow
combustible or metallic objects inside the body. If used with foreign
objects inside, the unit is liable to fail or cause a fire or an electric shock.
Avoid operating or storing the unit in any of the following locations:
• Extremely hot or cold places (operating temperature range: 5°C to 40°C
[41°F to 104°F])
• In direct sunlight or near heaters (Remember, the temperature inside a
locked automobile in summer can rise as high as 50°C [122°F].)
• Damp or dusty places
• Where it is exposed to rain
• Locations subject to strong vibration
• Near strong magnetic fields
• Near television or radio stations generating strong electromagnetic
radiation, such as radio or TV transmitters.
