7 Maintenance, Cleaning, and Disinfection

7.1 Maintenance
YourwheelchairhasbeenprovidedwiththeCEsign.Themanufacturerherewithguarantees
thatthismedicalproductasawholeconformstotherequirementsoftheEuropeanDirectivefor
MedicalProducts93/42/EEC.
Theproperfunctionofthewheelchair,especiallyofthebrakes,shouldbecheckedbeforeevery
use.Safetynutsshouldbeusedonlyonce.Iftheyhavebeenloosenedseveraltimes,theymust
bereplaced.
Shouldanyproblemsorwearbeencountered,pleasecontactyourauthorizedspecialistdealer
immediatelyinordertohavethemcorrected.Thisisparticularlyimportantifyounoticethatthe
drivingcharacteristicschangeorthewheelchairbecomeslessstable.We also recommend that
you have the wheelchair serviced every 12 months by your Ottobock authorized dealer.The
followingtablelistsfunctionswhichtheusermustcheckattheindicatedintervals.
