Danger as a result of improper use of the tires
CAUTIOn
Accident risk due to insufficient or excessive tire pressure! Theeffectivenessofthewheellockandthe
overalldrivingqualityaredependentonadequateairpressure.Thewheellocksareonlyeffectivewith
sufficientairpressureandproperadjustment(approx.5 mmdistance,subjecttotechnicalchanges).
Beforestartingtouseyourmobilitybasewithseatingshell,checkthatthetiresareinflatedcorrectly.
Therequiredairpressureisprintedonthesideofthetire.Forrearwheels,itshouldbeat least 7.5 bar
(350 kPa).Properlyinflatedrearwheeltiresandequalairpressureinbothtiresconsiderablyimprove
themaneuverabilityofyourwheelchair.
CAUTIOn
Risk of accident as a result of bad tires. Insufficienttreaddepthofthetiresreducesadhesion.When
usingyourwheelchairinpublictraffic,youaresubjectedtopublictrafficregulations.
Risk of skin damage
CAUTIOn
Possible complications in case of unhealthy skin. Usingthewheelchairwithunhealthyskincancause
medicallyindicatedcomplicationssuchasreddeningoftheskinandpressuresores.Overseveralhours
ofuse,theskinonthebuttocks,backandrearthighsissubjectedtoconsiderablestrain.Therefore,
alwayschecktheseareascarefullybeforeusingthewheelchair.
Noliabilitywillbeassumedforhealthinjuriescausedbyuseofthiswheelchairwithdamagedskin.
Danger caused by fire/heat and cold
CAUTIOn
Risk of burns when near to fire. Theseatandbackupholsterymaycatchfire.Keepthewheelchair
awayfromallsourcesofignition,especiallylitcigarettes.
CAUTIOn
Be careful in case of extreme temperatures. Thewheelchaircanheatupsignificantlyduetosolar
radiationorinthesauna.Inextremecold,thereisariskofhypothermia.
Risk of hand injuries
CAUTIOn
Risk of hand injuries.Toavoidhandinjuries,donotgraspbetweentherearwheelandthewheellock
whendrivingyourwheelchair.
CAUTIOn
Risk of pinching between wheelchair components. Thewheellockleverandthesideorframesec-
tionscanrepresentariskofcrushingwithvariousadjustmentoptions.
