9. Completing the model vehicle

a) Installing the lighting kit

The package contains the lighting kit with two white LEDs (1) and two red LEDs (2). The LEDs come completely wired
and equipped with a function switch. Like the steering servo or the speed controller, the lighting kit is connected to one
of the remote control receiver's outputs.
If the receiver does not have a free output to connect the LEDs, use a V-cable (not included).
Installing the lighting kit
The bumpers come with suitable brackets for installing the
LEDs. The LEDs just need to be pressed in from the inside
of the bumper. Finally, the LEDs are fastened securely in
the bumper with small locking latches.
First, connect the lighting kit to the receiver for test purpos-
es and then put the receiver into operation. Then you can
see which LEDs should be installed at the front and rear.
Then lay the cables (3) in the model so that the on/off
switch is easy to operate and the cables can neither dis-
turb the function of the model nor be damaged by vibra-
tions or friction. Use the supplied adhesive pads for the
switch and small cable ties for the cables.
