Connecting to the PC
▷ Connect the USB cable to the USB data port ([1]
in Fig. 12) of the Ceramill Motion 2 and to a free
USB port of the PC.
The maximum permitted length of the USB
cable is 5 m.
▷ Insert the Ceramill dongle in a free USB port on
the rear side of the PC.

5.4 Establishing the Network Connec-
tion
To establish the network connection, the
Ceramill Motion 2 and the PC must first be
connected via USB.
▷ Connect the Ethernet interface [2] of the
Ceramill Motion 2 with the PC or with the net-
work using a network cable.
The maximum permitted length of the network
cable to the PC or to the network router is
100 m.
▷ Switch the Ceramill Motion 2 on.
▷ Switch the Ceramill Coolstream on.
▷ Start the Ceramill Motion 2 software.
▷ After initializing the milling machine in the soft-

ware under >
connection type from USB to Ethernet and
adapt the IP address, if required (see descrip-
tion of the Ceramill Motion 2 software).
▷ Switch the Ceramill Motion 2 off and then on
again.
▷ Initialize the Ceramill Motion 2 in the software.
▷ After the software has detected the Ethernet
connection, remove the USB cable.
When operating via a network, up to eight
machines can be connected and controlled
via the Ceramill Match Software.
The PC and the Ceramill Motion 2 must be
in the same sub-network.
