11. CHARGER SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
In addition to the charging and discharging functions, the multi-charger „T6200" offers more special functions that
have proven their worth in practical use.
a) Voltage Measurement „VOLT METER"
In this menu, you can have the voltage of a rechargeable battery or battery pack displayed. For measuring, the char-
ger must be connected to the voltage source (mains unit/car battery).
If the rechargeable battery to be measured is a NiCd, NiMH or lead battery, the total voltage of the rechargeable
battery/battery pack is displayed. For this, it is sufficient to connect the rechargeable battery to the charging cable at
the charger as shown in image 6, fig. A.
If the rechargeable battery to be measured is a multiple-cell
Lithium rechargeable battery with balancer connection, the
rechargeable battery must be connected to the charger via the
charging cable and the balancer connection (see image 6, fig. B).
• Connect the charger to the power supply so that the start
display is visible.
• Select the type of the rechargeable battery to be measured in
the display/input field „BATT TYPE".
The displayed rechargeable battery type is displayed at the
same time in the head bar display field.
• Select the function „VOLT METER" in the display/input field
„OPERATION".
• Activate the function with the input field „START6" or touch
the function „VOLT METER". The display switches to the
voltage display.
• For NiCd, NiMH or lead rechargeable batteries, only the total
voltage „VOLTAGE" of the rechargeable battery is displayed.
For Lithium rechargeable batteries with a connected balancer
cable, the voltage of each line of the battery pack
„CELL1 ... CELL6" and the associated bar chart is displayed.
Additionally, you can also read the highest „MAX:" and the
lowest „MIN:" individual voltage and their voltage difference
„D-V" and the total voltage „V" of the battery pack.
• Touch the button „ENTER" to return to the start display.
