5.1

Number of magnets

The number of magnets is
selected using the individual
modules of the GSD file. For
settings with a fixed number of
magnets the transducer expects
the specified number of magnets
before it can start without error.
The functionality of the FMM mode
is described briefly in Section
6.1.3.1 Description of FMM mode.
5.2

General settings

5.2.1 Extended diagnostic
With many older Profibus masters
the full number of diagnostic bytes
(80 bytes for standard diagnostics)
can lead to problems since the
master cannot process the full
number of diagnostic bytes. It is
possible to send just an
abbreviated diagnostic having 16
bytes. Changing the diagnostic is
done in the respective GSD
module.
