Bit 0-11 not used
Bit 12-15 Master sign-of-life
4-bit counter, flush left.
The master application starts the master sign-of-life at any desired value
between 1 and 15. The counter is incremented by the master in each master
application cycle. The value range is from 1 to 15, the value 0 indicates an
error and is skipped if there is no error.
Bit 0 – 10 reserved
Bit 11, Bit 12 (offset)
Definition:
AV1: Actual position value. Internal measuring value of position when setting
bits 11 and 12
AVn: Actual position value: Internal measuring value of position for every
other time point.
Out: Output value: Position value after offset correction
PV: Preset value: Parameter P2000 of the Encoder profile
OV: Offset value: Internally calculated offset
Bits 11 and 12 of the sensor control word (G1_STW) are edge-triggered
signals for activating the internal offset calculation. Edge-triggered means
the calculation of the offset is activated only once when bit 11 and/or bit 12
change their state.
The output value is always calculated as follows: Outn = AVn + OV
The various methods calculate the offset as follows:
Normal Mode Bit 12 = 0
Absolute Mode Bit 11 = 0, Bit 12 = 1: OV= PV - AV1
Relative Mode Bit 11 = 1, Bit 12 = 1

Bit 13 Request transmission of actual value 2
Additional transmission of the actual value in G1_XIST2 request. In the
current version the additional actual value is generally transmitted.
Bit 14 Park encoder
If this bit is set, no error messages are output via the diagnosis.
Bit 15 Acknowledge encoder error
A transducer error is acknowledged/reset when this bit is set.
