power supply socket of the telephone. To operate the telephone with key
extension modules, the provided wall wart must be connected to the suita-
ble socket at the key extension module.
If PoE is not available, the COMfortel 3600 IP must be supplied with a wall
wart. In this case, the supplied wall wart must be connected to the power
supply socket of the telephone and in this case one key extension module
can also be supplied with power.
To operate two or three key extension modules, an additional wall wart
must be connected to the suitable socket at one of the key extension mod-
ules.
Warning: Using the wrong wall wart can cause life-threatening electric
shocks or can damage or destroy the device.
 For this reason, only use a wall wart of type no. FW7577/EU/40.
Requirements
– One or two wall wart(s) with type no. FW7577/EU/40 (only one wall wart is
in the scope of delivery)
Steps to Take
Note: Do not set up the connection to the power supply before the tele-
phone is actually commissioned.
1.
Only for the operation without Power over Ethernet (PoE): Remove the
bridge plug from the power supply socket.

Only for the operation without Power over Ethernet (PoE): Insert the RJ-45
plug of the wall wart into the power supply socket of the telephone.
3.
Only for the operation with key extension modules: Insert the RJ-45 plug of
the wall wart into the suitable socket of one of the key extension modules.
