• Do not smoke in the spray area.
• Ensure that the work area remains clean and does not contain paint or solvent containers, fabrics or other flamma-
ble materials.
• Familiarise yourself with the contents of the paints and solvents that you are spraying. Read all of the
manufacturer's safety data sheets and container markings for the paints and solvents that you are using. Follow the
manufacturer's safety instructions for the paints and solvents.
• A functional fire extinguisher must be kept available at all times.
Danger due to penetration of material into skin
Spraining materials under high pressure can transmit poisons into the body, resulting in severe injuries. If this material
has penetrated the skin, immediate surgical treatment will be necessary.
• Never use the device to spray people or animals; never point the spray device at people or animals.
• Keep your hands and other body parts away from the outlet. Do not try, for example, to stop spraying material with
any body part.
• Always engage the trigger safety lock when you are not spraying. Check to ensure that this safety lock functions
without any problems.
• Always use the spray nozzle protector. Do not spray without the nozzle guard in place.
• Take care when cleaning and replacing spray nozzles. If the spray nozzle clogs during spraying, follow the procedu-
re for pressure relief to relieve the pressure before turning the nozzle around or removing it for cleaning.
• An active or pressurized device must not be left unsupervised. When the device is not in use, follow the procedure
if a pressure relief and engage the trigger lock.
• Examine the parts for signals of damage. Replace damaged parts with original parts by STORCH.
• The device builds up a pressure of up to 117 bar. Use only original accessories / and spare parts designed for at
least 117 bar.
• Do not transport the device with your finger on the trigger.
• Before using with coating material check that all connectors are tightly seated before starting up the device.
• Make yourself familiar with the procedure for stopping and quickly relieving the pressure in device. Familiarise
yourself thoroughly with all control elements.
Danger through misuse of equipment
Misuse of the device can result in serious to fatal injury.
• Remove the power pack before commencing maintenance work. When spraying always wear protective gloves,
safety glasses, and breathing protection.
• Never use the device when children are nearby. Children must be kept away from the device at all times.
• Never overreach while using the device; always stand on a firm base. Make sure you are secure and well-balanced
at all times.
• Remain alert and pay attention to your actions.
• Do not operate the device if you are tired or if you are under the influence of alcohol or medication.
• Only use the device in a dry environment. Do not expose the device to water or rain.
• The device may only be used in well-lit areas.
• Always immediately replace cracked, broken or missing parts with original parts by STORCH. See the parts list on
