INFORMATION
Please note that it is necessary to re-engage the anti-tipper after getting over the obstacle. To do so,
press the spring button of the tripod spring and turn down the anti-tipper by approx. 180° until it locks
in place (Fig. 17, item B).
5.2 Swinging anti-tipper (Fig 18 – 22)
WARNING
Risk of falling as a result of incorrectly set swinging anti-tipper. The space between the floor and
anti-tipper ends must not exceed 5 cm. This basic setting may only be made by qualified personnel.
CAUTION
Risk of tipping. Never drive over obstacles (steps and kerbs) at a slant angle. Always approach ob-
stacles straightly (at an angle of 90°).
The swinging anti-tipper allows the wheelchair user to overcome thresholds and dropped kerbs
without the help of an attendant. It prevents the wheelchair from tipping and after overcoming
the obstacle swings back to the rear.
If necessary, adjust the length of the swinging anti-tipper by loosening the marked screw con-
nections (Fig. 18, items A/B). To change the height setting of the anti-tipper, loosen the screw
connection (Fig. 18, item B) and use another bore hole.
WARNING
Risk of falling as a result of incorrectly set anti-tipper. These basic settings may only be made by
qualified personnel.
When making these basic settings, make sure that the outer arm of the swinging anti-tipper protrudes
beyond the largest diameter of the tyre (Fig. 18, item C).
