Then activate the wheel locks of the wheelchair you want to transfer into (Fig. 11). Move your
feet from the footrest to the floor and move ahead in the wheelchair if required (Fig. 12).
Flip up the footplates of the wheelchair (Fig. 13). Transfer into the second wheelchair. The meth-
od illustrated is one possible way to support yourself (Fig. 14). Find the most suitable path for
you by practising with an attendant.
Fold the footplates of the wheelchair down again. Position your feet on the footplates of the
wheelchair (Fig. 15). Release the wheel locks (Fig. 16). Now you can use the wheelchair.
