b) Installation and Connection of the Feed Flap Servo

• Now attach the feed flap servo (1) to the RC
board's holder with two cable ties as displayed in
figure 2. Proceed with care and apply counter-
pressure to avoid breaking out of the servo hol-
der.
• Attach the thrust rod (2) as shown in figure 2 to
the rudder horn of the feed flap servo.
• Connect the feed flap servo to channel 3 of the
receiver.
Start the remote control. The receiver system is
supplied by the receiver battery (or battery box)
from the remote control's accessories. For this,
observe the operating instructions for the remote
control system.
• Activate the transmitter position „feed flap open". Attach the rudder horn to the fed flap servo so that the rudder horn
is at the maximum stop in this position. (see figure 2, the rudder horn should be as parallel as possible to the bracket
at the bottom of the feed flap).
• Now operate channel 3 at the transmitter for the feed flap operation towards „feed flap closed". The feed flap now
must be horizontally supported on the boat body. Now set the servo path at your remote control so that the feed flap
servo does not run to block in either end position (servo hums). Otherwise, not only the servo and possibly the
receiver are damaged, but the high current intake of the servos reduces the operating time of the receiver batteries.

c) Installation and Connection of Receiver and Speed Controller

• The adjacent figure shows the opened body boat
with the receiver (1), the speed controller (2), as
well as a possible installation site for the speed
controllers on/off switch (3).
• Connect the steering servo to channel 1, the speed
controller to channel 2 and the feed flap servo to
channel 3 of the receiver. For this, observe the
operating instructions for the remote control
system.
• Figure 3, item 4 shows a possible water inlet for
motor cooling. Item 5 shows the water cooling
outlet.
• Attach the receiver (1) to the RC board with a strip
of double-sided adhesive tape (e.g. servo tape)
or a strip of hook-and-loop tape.
• Attach the speed controller (2) with a strip of double-sided adhesive tape (e.g. servo tape) or a strip of hook-and-loop
tape as well.
