Connecting the home trainer to a power source
• The product is powered by a power adapter L (provided).
Plug in thepower adapter to the grid and the connector in its
plug on the back of the home trainer (pic. 1) - a slight vibration
indicates that the system is setting in its initial position, this
operation might last 15 seconds.
Lock on the power adapter cable to the cable holder hook
(pic. 1).
Status LED light
The roller sends data on speed, pedalling cadence and deve-
loped power via Bluetooth Wi-Fi protocols.
The electronic board has 3 LEDs that identify the power
supply and operation status of the board itself, as well as
notifying which protocol is being used:
Red = identifies the trainer's power supply.
- Off = the roller is not powered or is in energy saving mode
- Flashing = firmware update of the roller control system.
- On = the roller is powered.
Blue = identifies the operation of the roller with the Bluetooth
protocol.
- Slow flashing = waiting for a connection.
- Fast flashing = in search of a sensor (see chapter "Power
Meter Link," "Cadence Bridge" and "Cardio Bridge"
- On = the roller is transmitting using the Bluetooth protocol.
White = identifies the operation of the roller with the Wi-Fi
protocol.
- Fast flashing = firmware update via Wi-Fi.
- On = the roller is transmitting using the Wi-Fi protocol.
Software and connectivity
The product, to be used in all its functions, requires to be inter-
faced with software on: a personal computer (Windows, Mac),
mobile device (iOS and Android) or with computer cycle with
Bluetooth or Wi-Fi technology.
The use of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi standards, allows for broad
compatibility with all programs and apps on the market and in
particular with the software Elite My E-Training (via Bluetooth),
available for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android PCs.
The software or app Elite My E-Training allows for a wide varie-
ty of training/test modes, and is therefore suitable for all types
of cyclists, from novice to professional.
OPERATIONS
The app is available on the App Store (iOS version) and Goo-
gle Play (Android version), while the Windows PC and Mac can
be found on the www.elite-it.com website.
Main functions are:
• Video training
• Personalized training programs
• Google maps training sessions
• Data saving, import and export
It is still possible to use a third party software that is compati-
ble with the home trainer communication standards. There are
several commercially available programs / apps / devices that
can connect to the product.
Please follow the program / app / device instructions on how to
properly connect to the home trainer.
Before using any app and beginning the connection procedure,
check that the home trainer is powered up and is not in energy
saving mode.
The electronic board of the home trainer features LED lights
that indicated the home trainer status. Please check the rele-
vant paragraph for a more in-depth explanation.
Transmission protocols
The product uses different transmission protocols to interact and
send data to programs / apps / devices.
Check compatibility with one of these proto-
cols with the Manufacturer of the app / softwa-
re / device.
Bluetooth
"Fitness Machine – Indoor Bike Service" (FTMS): This service
allows for the compatible program / app / device to receive
the training data and vary the resistance of the roller. This
service makes a complete interaction with the roller possible.
"Speed&Cadence Service"*: This service allows for sending
the speed and pedal cadence data. This service does not
allow interaction with a program / app / devices.
Warning: If the program / app / device uses the
Speed&Cadence service to receive the speed, you must set
a wheel circumference value equal to the actual value of the
wheel divided by 12,3. Example: If the circumference of the
wheel is 2095 mm, then the value to be entered as circumfe-
rence is 2095 / 12,3 = 170 mm.
"Power Service": This service allows for sending of the po-
wer data that the cyclist is developing. This service does not
allow interaction with a program / app / device.
In most cases, smartphones and tablets already have Blue-
tooth connectivity and therefore do not need any additional
components to communicate with the product. It may be that
older peripherals are not compatible. Check with the manu-
facturer for Bluetooth compatibility.
The product features double-channel Blueto-
oth. When the home trainer is connected to a
device, it is possible to also connect it to a se-
cond Bluetooth device.
