Attaching the starter rope
► Press the control bar for mowing (2) toward
the handlebar (1) and hold it there.
► Pull the starter grip (3) slowly in the direction
of the cable guide (4).
► Attach the starter grip (3) to the cable
guide (4).
► Release the control bar for mowing (2).
► Attach the spark plug boot.

Adjusting the handlebar

► Shut off the engine.
► Pull off the spark plug boot.
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Hold the handlebar (1) securely.
► Depress the lever (2) and keep it pressed.
► Set the handlebar (1) to the desired position.
► Release the lever (2) and ensure that the han‐
dlebar fully engages again.
► Attach the spark plug boot.
The handlebar can be set to 3 heights.

Folding down the handlebar

The handlebar can be folded down for space-
saving transport and storage.

9 Starting and Stopping the Engine

► Shut off the engine.
► Pull off the spark plug boot.
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Disengage the starter grip from the Bowden
cable guide and guide it slowly in the direction
of the engine.
► Hold the handlebar (1) securely.
► Depress the lever (2) and keep it pressed.
► Fold down handlebar (1).
► Release the lever (2).
► Attach the spark plug boot.

Engine
9.1 Starting the engine
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Move the lever (1) to the Start position.
► Pull out the starter grip (2) slowly with your
right hand until you feel noticeable resistance.
► Pull the starter grip (2) quickly and allow the
starter rope to rewind several times until the
engine begins to run.
► If the engine fails to start: See the User Man‐
ual for the engine.

Switching off the engine

► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
