► Pull the lever (1) upward and hold it there.

11.3.1
Switching on self-propulsion
NOTICE
► To prevent damage to the machine, press
the lever for self-propulsion only when the
engine is running.
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Start the engine.
► Pull the control bar (1) all the way up to the
handlebar (2) and hold it so that your thumb is
wrapped around the handlebar.
The lawn mower starts moving.
Increasing the travel speed
► Push the lever (3) forward toward
travel.
Reducing the travel speed
► Push the lever (3) back toward
travel.
11.3.2
Disengaging Self-propulsion
► Release the control bar for self-propulsion.
► Wait until the lawn mower comes to a stand‐
still.

11.4
11.4.1
The lawn mower is equipped with a blade brake
clutch. After releasing the control bar for mowing,
the blade must come to a stop within a few sec‐
onds; however, the engine may continue to run.
As a result, the user can continue to use the self-
propulsion or empty the grass catcher box with‐
out having to restart the engine afterward.
To engage the blade clutch:
► Press the control bar for mowing (1) toward
the handlebar (2) and hold it pressed and pull
the lever for the blade brake clutch (3) upward.

► Release the control bar for mowing (1).
The blade is then disengaged and comes to a
standstill within 3 seconds. The engine continues
running.
