Storing

Cleaning, maintenance and
repair

■ Having the engine running during cleaning,
maintenance or repair may result in serious
injury to people and damage to property.
► Shut off the engine.
► Wait for the blade to stop moving.

engaged if the engine is running during clean‐
ing, maintenance or repair. This may result in
serious injury to people and damage to prop‐

► Wait until the muffler and engine have
cooled down.
■ Abrasive cleaning agents, using a jet of water
or sharp items for cleaning may result in dam‐
age to the lawn mower or the blade. If the
lawn mower or blade is not cleaned correctly,
components may no longer operate correctly
and safety devices may be disabled. People
may suffer serious injuries as a result.
► Clean the lawn mower and blade as descri‐
bed in this User Manual,
■ The lawn mower is equipped with a blade
brake clutch (BBC). After releasing the control
bar for mowing, the blade comes to a stop
within 3 seconds. The engine continues to run.
► Switch off the engine and disconnect the
spark plug boot before cleaning, servicing
or repairing the lawn mower.
■ If the lawn mower or blade is not maintained
or repaired as described in this User Manual,
components may no longer operate correctly
and safety devices may be disabled. Persons
may be seriously injured or killed.
► Replace worn or damaged parts.
