7.2.4 Cleaning the Silicone Rubber Shaft in the Recorder Casing
The silicone rubber shaft should be flat, smooth, and smudge-free, otherwise the printing is not
clear. Wipe in the longitudinal direction with a clean soft cloth damped in alcohol (75%). Close
the recorder casing after the alcohol evaporate.
7.3 Disinfection
Before disinfection, clean the equipment first. Then wipe the surfaces of the unit and the
patient cable with hospital standard disinfectant.
Do not use high temperature, high pressure steam, or ionizing radiation for disinfection.
Do not use chloric disinfectant such as chloride, sodium hypochlorit e etc.
Turn off the power and wipe the surface of main unit, patient cable and electrodes with a clean
and soft cloth damped in disinfectant (alcohol 75%). Dry the equipment with a clean dry cloth
or air dry naturally.
7.4 Care and Maintenance
Only qualified service engineers can repair this equipment. When the equipment has
malfunction, it should be clearly marked to avoid running with failure.
7.4.1 Recharge and Replacement of Battery
7.4.1.1 Recharge of Battery
The ECG machine has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery and charge control circuit. When
the battery is used for the first time, because of the loss of power in the process of storage and
transportation, the battery is generally not sufficient. Before use, the battery should be charged
in advance. As long as the AC power supply is connected, the battery can be charged. At this
time, the AC power indicator and the battery charging indicator light are on at the same time,
indicating that the battery is charging. When the battery is fully charged, the battery charging
indicator is off. The charging time from the exhausted state to 90% of the battery capacity is
about 7.5 hours. Under the condition of battery power supply, the continuous working time of
the ECG machine should not be less than 1 hour.
7.4.1.2 Capacity Identification
The current capacity of the battery can be identified according to the battery symbol in the
top right corner of the LCD screen, as follow:
Full capacity
Capacity is adequate.
Capacity is low and needed to be charged.
Capacity is insufficient and needed to be charged.
Capacity is exhausted and needed to be charged immediately.
