8. Assembling the Model
Before assembling the model, please read through each individual section carefully. The construction phases are illustrated for better understanding.
Please note that the numbers in the text always refer to the components in the illustration to the right.
Only carry out the described steps in the individual sections if you have completely understood the procedure and know exactly what to pay
attention to.
a) Mounting the Aileron
Remove the aileron (1) from the wing. Remove the pre-assembled hinges (2)
from the hinge slots.
Next, glue the hinges to the hinge slots with 30-minute epoxy resin.
Make sure that the resin is well spread out in the slot. A narrow strip of wood is
best suited for this purpose.
Remove and insert the hinge several times. This ensures that the resin is
optimally spread out. Allow the resin to dry completely.
Glue the hinges (1) on the whole aileron to the hinge slots of the wing (2) using
30-minute epoxy resin.
Make sure that the resin is well spread out in the slot. A narrow strip of wood is
best suited for this purpose.
Glue the pushrod (3) in the designated hole in the aileron.
Remove and insert the hinges several times. This ensures that the resin is
optimally spread out. Allow the resin to dry completely.
Be careful not to allow any adhesive to get in between the rudder blade and the
wing.
