► Press the ON button (1).
The lawn mower is switched on.
Within 3 seconds, the preset mowing mode
indicator will flash.
The LED (2) indicates the charge level of the
battery with the lower energy content.
After ten minutes without further activity, the
lawn mower will switch to sleep mode.

11.2.1
Activating the Blade
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Press the ON button (1).
► Within three seconds, use left hand to push
control bar for mowing (2) fully in the direction
of handlebar (3) and hold so the thumb enclo‐
ses handlebar (3).
The blade rotates.
► Hold handlebar (3) and control bar for mow‐
ing (2) with the right hand so the thumb enclo‐
ses handlebar (3).

Deactivating the Blade
► Release the control bar for mowing.
► Wait until the blade is no longer turning.
► If the blade continues to turn: remove the bat‐
teries and consult a STIHL specialist dealer.

11.3.1
Engaging self-propulsion

The LEDs on the control indicate the preset self-
propulsion speed. If no LED lights up, self-pro‐
pulsion is switched off.
The control bar for self-propulsion can be used to
continuously regulate the speed from 2 km/h up
to the preselected maximum speed. The further

the batteries and consult a STIHL specialist

Control bar for mowing
► Remove the batteries.
► Pull the control bar for mowing fully in the
direction of the handlebar and release again.
► If the control bar for mowing is stiff or does not
spring back into the initial position: do not use
the lawn mower and consult a STIHL special‐
ist dealer.
The control bar for mowing is defective.
Control bar for self-propulsion
► Remove the batteries.
► Push the control bar for self-propulsion in the
direction of the handlebar and release again.
