Precautions:
Read these instructions carefully before using the orthosis. If you have any questions, consult
your doctor or the shop where you purchased it.
For the orthosis to perform its function, the right size for the patient must be used. If the patient
is close to the maximum range of a size and has a protruding abdomen, choose the next size up.
The general instructions of use and specific indications determined by the doctor should always
be followed.
Only a doctor is qualified to prescribe treatment and determine its duration and monitoring.
If you notice any side effects, skin conditions or sensitisation, consult your doctor immediately.
Discontinue use until assessed by a specialist.
Your doctor might consider the use of topical creams in conjunction with the orthosis.
In areas of support where pressure is applied, the skin should not be damaged or hypersensitive.
Although the orthosis is not for single use, it should only be used by one patient. The product
should not be reused by other patients.
The first fitting and adjustment of these accessories must be carried out by qualified personnel
(doctor, orthopaedic technician etc.).
For the orthosis to function properly, its components must be regularly checked to ensure that
they are in good condition. The medical staff responsible for monitoring treatment may explain
the suitability of the product to the patient or suggest its replacement if it is damaged or worn.
Make sure that the quick Velcro fasteners are free from fluff and lint to ensure that their closure
properties are preserved.
Some materials of the product are not flame retardant, therefore it is recommended not to use it
in environments with excessive heat, fire or radiation.
Clean the product regularly and maintain proper hygiene.
Do not wear the orthosis while having a bath, shower, etc.
Do not let children play with this device.
These accessories are designed to be used exclusively with these PRS630BG/PRS630G -
(PRS650BG/PRS650G) and PRS631BG/PRS631G - (PRS651BG/PRS651G) belt models.
Module fitting instructions:
1. Choose the most suitable insert and belt model for the patient.
2. Choose the sizes that are most suitable for the patient.
3. Remove the lumbar plate from the belt beforehand, the use of the module is not compatible with
the use of the lumbar plate.
4. For correct positioning of the module, the thermoplastic must be shaped to the patient's body
by means of a hot air gun at 180 degrees, maintaining a distance of 10-15 cm. Remove the textile
beforehand and put it back once the module has been fitted to the patient.
5. Position the module centred on the belt by fastening the micro-hooks on the velour area inside
the belt (A).
6. Position the module and support belt on the patient (B).
7. Finally, tighten the fasteners of the belt to properly secure the assembly and achieve the desired
compression (C).
Shoulder support fitting instructions:
1. Choose the PRS630BG/PRS630G or PRS631BG/PRS631G belt model and size most suitable for
the patient.
2. Remove the lumbar plate from the belt beforehand. The use of the shoulder support is not
compatible with the use of the lumbar plate.
3. Place the belt on a flat surface and fully open it. Then, fasten the microhooks of the shoulder
support to the velour on the inside of the belt, making sure that the two central stays of the
belt are aligned with those of the shoulder support. Always begin to fasten from the inside of
the belt. The height of the back brace can be adjusted by attaching it to the belt in a higher or
lower position. Note, however, that increasing the height will decrease the contact surface and
the connection point between the back brace and the belt will become weaker the higher it is.
4. Shape the strips to fit the anatomical curves of the patient.
5. Then, put on the belt together with the shoulder support and tighten the fasteners at the front of
the belt, securing the belt correctly and achieving the desired compression.
6. Next, pull the lateral tensioners to obtain the necessary tension and attach them to the front of
the belt with the microhook fasteners.
7. Then, pass the straps over the shoulders and under the armpit, across the back and down to the
abdominal area, joining them together with the microhook fasteners and attaching them to the
front of the belt.
Note: During the first fitting: To enable the length of the straps on the brace to be adapted to the
height of the assembly and the height of the patient, the straps feature microhook fasteners, one
of which is a crocodile-type closure. Attach the strap with the microhook end to the crocodile-type
closure on the other strap. Then refasten the fasteners on both straps.
