REPLACE THE HANDLEBAR SWITCH BATTERY
The Ride FOX Bike App will keep you informed about the handlebar
switch battery life and it will indicate when it is time to replace the battery.
Use the Ride FOX Bike App to walk you through this procedure, or follow
the steps below.
1. Ensure the top of the battery container on the handlebar switch is
clean and accessible. If necessary, remove the container from your
handlebar by loosening the clamp (Figure F).
2. Firmly grasp the container top cap on either side of the "pull" indicator.
Use the small tab to lift the top cap and twist counter-clockwise until
the cap is removed (Figure G).
3. Use a small-tipped tool or 3 mm Allen key to remove the CR2032
battery from the handlebar switch (Figure H).
4. Replace the battery with name brand CR2032 batteries only. Make sure
the new battery is flush with the surrounding housing (not pictured).
5. Align the top cap, making sure the tabs are inside the battery
container. The cap should easily push into place at a 15 degree angle
from the battery container. While gently pressing the top cap, twist the
top cap clockwise until it snaps into place (Figure I).
6. Reattach the battery container to the clamp in the desired position on
the handlebar (Figure J).
