POWER THE SYSTEM
1. Press the Power button on the rear shock controller to power the Live Valve system on. As the system turns on, a green
LED light will first display a "system check" with moving lights. Then, the green LED will illuminate in the shape of a circle or
partial circle, depending on the battery charge level. Battery level is indicated by:
• 1/4 circle = 25% charge
• 1/2 circle = 50% charge
• 3/4 circle = 75% charge
• Complete circle = 100% charge
2. To check the battery level during a ride, quickly press of the Power button to display the current battery status.
3. Press and hold the Power button to power the system off. The circle will illuminate red and turn off.
4. If you do not intentionally power off the system, the controller will shut down after 45 minutes without motion to preserve
the battery. You will need to turn on the system manually next time you ride.
Power Savings Tip!
Manually power off the Live Valve by pressing and holding the Power button before transporting your bike. This will preserve
battery life. If you finish riding and immediately put your bike over the tailgate and drive home, the system will be sensing the
bumps encountered by the vehicle and will be adjusting your suspension the same as if you were riding. This wastes battery
energy!
CHARGE THE REAR SHOCK CONTROLLER BATTERY
To display the battery charge level, press the Power button on the controller. Battery level is indicated by the green LED circle
(when complete circle is illuminated green, the battery is fully charged). To charge the battery on the rear shock controller,
follow the instructions below.
1. To remove the battery from the rear shock controller, disengage the latch and slide the battery out. When the battery is
removed from the controller, install the protective cover (shaped like a "dummy" battery) to protect the controller.
Do not discard the controller's protective cover. This protective cover must be transferred to the customer because is critical
for protecting the controller when the battery is not connected (for example, during charging off the bike). The controller can
sustain damage through exposure to elements such as water and debris and must be covered.
2. Place the battery on the mount of the charger. While pressing down on the battery, latch it into place to secure it to the
charger.
3. The red charging LED will illuminate during charging. The green LED will illuminate when battery charging is complete
(approximately 1.5 hours). 15 minutes of charging yields approximately 1.5 hours of additional riding. Do not leave the battery
on the charger after charging is complete (i.e. overnight or for long periods unattended).
4. Remove the protective cover from the rear shock controller and store it in a safe place, such as on the unplugged charger.
5. To install the battery onto the rear shock controller, place the battery on the mount of the controller. While pressing down on
the battery, close the latch to secure it to the controller.
