• Function #4, green LED flashes four times: Startup mode
The vehicle will start to move with more or less force depending on the setting. The higher the setting value, the
more current the engine draws from the connected rechargeable battery; so the rechargeable battery must be
high-performance.
A higher setting should only be used on unpaved surfaces, as paved surfaces may overload the engine (transmis-
sion, differentials).
• Function #5, green LED flashes five times: Maximum brake force
The speed controller offers a proportional brake force depending on the position of the transmitter lever. The maxi-
mum brake force at full deflection is adjustable between 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%.
A higher setting (e.g. 100%) decreases the braking distance, but has a negative impact on the lifespan of the engine
(especially the drive pinion and main gear).
c) Resetting the speed controller
Use this function to reset all configured settings to the factory defaults (see grey markings in the table in chapter 10. b).
Proceed as follows:
• Switch on the remote control. Leave the throttle/brake lever in the neutral position, do not move it.
• Turn on the speed controller by moving the slide switch in the direction of the setup button. The vehicle should now
be ready for operation, no LED will light up on the speed controller.
• Hold down the setup button until the red and greed LEDs start to flash.
• Now turn off the speed controller by setting the slide switch to the "OFF" position:
- see figure in "a) Adjusting the neutral and full throttle setting" on page 49. All settings will then be reset to their
default values.
- see table in "b) Programming additional functions" on page 50.
• Refer to "10. Programming the speed controller" on page 49 for instructions on how to reprogram the speed
controller.
Important!
When using a LiPo vehicle battery, check the speed controller settings to confirm that undervoltage pro-
tection is enabled (normally 3.0 V/cell). If undervoltage detection is switched off, the LiPo battery may be
permanently damaged due to overdischarge.
When using a NiMH drive battery, disable undervoltage detection or configure a lower voltage setting "b)
Programming additional functions" on page 50, function #3).
