10 Operating the transmitter
10.1 Inserting batteries/rechargeable batteries into the transmitter
Slide the battery compartment cover on the underside of the transmitter backwards in the direction of the arrow
to open it.
Insert the four AA/Mignon batteries (or four rechargeable batteries) using the inscriptions inside the battery com-
partment, paying attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-).
Close the battery compartment again.
Given that rechargeable batteries have a lower output voltage, we recommend using the transmitter with
non-rechargeable batteries only for reasons of service life and operational safety. Using rechargeable
batteries would cause the transmitter to show an insufficient operating voltage after a relatively short time.
10.2 Switching on the transmitter
Release the transmitter controls, do not move them.
Push the on/off switch (see fig. 1, no. 12) upwards.
The LEDs (fig. 1, no. 13) indicate the battery status; the fewer of them are lit, the lower the battery status:
– 100%:
– 80%:
– 60%:
– 40%:
– 20%:
– Empty: The LEDs flashing and a running light serve as a warning signal
Now turn on the receiver or the model vehicle.
Caution!
Always switch on the transmitter before turning on the receiver and connecting it to the voltage/power sup-
ply or turning on the model vehicle. Otherwise, the response of the model vehicle may be unpredictable.
Discontinue using the vehicle when the battery level is too low. Stop operating the vehicle by switching
off the speed controller. Then turn off the transmitter and replace the used/empty batteries/rechargeable
batteries with new/fully charged ones. You can now turn the transmitter on again and operate the vehicle.
