9. Testing the remote control

The numbers used in these instructions refer to the illustration alongside the text or the illustrations within
the respective section. Cross references to other figures are indicated with the corresponding number.
a) Inserting batteries
The remote control is powered by 4 AA batteries (available separately, Conrad item no. 652507).
The battery compartment (5) is located on the bottom of the remote control. To open the battery compartment, press
the corrugated surface (A) and slide the lid in the direction of the arrow.
Insert 4 AA batteries into the battery compartment. Ensure that they are inserted in the correct polarity. The negative
battery pole should touch the spring (B).
Slide the lid back on and ensure that it clicks into place.
Replace the batteries when the LED (13) flashes or when you hear an acoustic signal from the remote control.

b) Switching on the remote control (transmitter)

After inserting the batteries, switch on the remote control by sliding the ON/OFF (1) switch to the ON position.
The LED indicator (13) will turn on to indicate that the remote control is switched on.
A flashing LED or an acoustic signal indicates that the remote control batteries are empty. Discontinue use as soon as
possible and replace the batteries before using the model again.
Once you have checked that the remote control is working properly, switch it off.
